Job Descriptions
(Well, I’ve been given this job, but how do I do it)?

WARDROBE PERSON
This is a job for a
person with plenty of time and a good memory.
× Keep track of all costumes and
accessories which the Players' Club owns and know where to find them when they
are needed.
× A general inventory should be made,
but as the stock is constantly being changed, new items made or bought and old
ones re‑made or disposed of several times a year, it is impossible to keep a
written inventory up to date. Much of it must be kept "in your head".
× Be responsible for keeping storage
wardrobe organized, clean and tidy, so items can be found when needed. There may
be a committee formed to help.
× Work with the costumer of each play,
to supply whatever costume items which the Players' Club already owns and thus
reduce expense of new purchases being made unnecessarily.
× Also help after each play is over to
put away all costumes used.
× Depending on policy decided by the
Club, be available to find costumes for members, non‑members or other groups who
wish to borrow or rent Players' Club costumes.
× If a loan or rental arrangement is
made, keep a list of all costumes and parts of costumes taken, with the person's
name, phone number and date to return costume.
× Make sure costume is returned.
(Sometimes this takes a lot of time). Clean or wash it and put it away.
× Keep an account of any money made by
costume rentals and turn it over to the Club treasurer at pre‑determined
intervals.
